Why Swimming the Witch?
Swimming the Witch is a reference to a form of torture involved in the witchcraft trials. A person would be bound and submerged in water. If they sank, they were innocent (and subsequently drowned), and if they floated, they were guilty (and subsequently killed). Essentially, it’s a great example of “damned if you do, damned if you don’t”. This is also my experience with blogging, or posting comments in online forums. That’s why it’s the name of my site.
