Trying Not to Get Frostbite.
In the last week five of my friends have purchased mountain bikes. This summer should be a blast if everything goes right. I’ve been out riding a few times in the snow with my single-speed. I won’t lie, it’s not the same as riding during the other times of the year. The 4 inches of snow and 20 degree temperature make riding a bit of a chore. It’s not so much the actual riding for me, but the suiting-up for the cold takes a long time.
The worst part is that I’ve gained weight since the fall, weight that I was happy to get rid of over the summer. Hopefully in a few weeks I’ll be able to buy an indoor trainer for my old road bike, and I’ll be fit in time for the spring races.

I’d say you’ve been spending too much time with the darkroom chemicals, but we don’t do that anymore. I could blame your obvious mental break on Paula’s coffee, it is Columbian after all! But it is more likely a mid-life crisis caused by the out gassing of the new carpets at OIP … I mean Kaplan College.
In any case you need to get out of Dayton as soon as possible via car note bike or at the very lease procure a sponsorship deal with the City to promote the Wright Brothers and their bikes.
Robin, were you drinking when you wrote this comment?!
It’s not a mid-life crisis, just a crisis in general. There are no carpets at work now, just hardwood floors.
We’re finally able to start biking again since the kids are bigger. It helps me deal with everything during the week.
